Greetings Bay Point Elementary families,

Our PTA Ice Cream Social/General Meeting has been rescheduled for this Thursday, September 15th and will take place in the cafeteria immediately after the school’s Title I Meeting/Open House (5:30-6:30pm). Please join us that night to learn more about PTA, purchase BPE uniform t-shirts, and get to know your fellow BPE families while enjoying a tasty ice cream sundae.

As part of our General Meeting, we will be asking members to vote on our proposed budget. Yes, the many events (Fall Festival, Fiesta Night, Publix Math Night, Science Fair Night), programs (Sunshine Math and Reflections Art), and activities (Teacher Appreciation Week, Fifth Grade Celebration) that we coordinate each year do cost money. Also, we wish to support our students in other ways this year, such as by purchasing technology items and curriculum tools and sponsoring author visits, holiday celebrations, and the Panther Bucks rewards program.

With this in mind, I would like to gently remind families about our ongoing PTA Fall Fundraiser (Sept. 6-16). If you are new to our school, PTA organizes two fundraisers each year, and we rely on these funds to support our activities. Last week, your child should have received a Save Around coupon book and order form in their backpack along with information about our exciting prize program. If you haven’t done so already, I encourage you to please take a look. These fabulous coupon books offer hundreds of discounts at both local and national businesses, promising to save your family tons of money.

Just a few important reminders about this fundraiser:

  1. Order forms and payment are due this Friday (September 16th)
  2. Please return any unsold coupon books or PTA will be charged.
